About Lee Neubecker
Lee Neubecker is an independent cyber security researcher and blogger at leeneubecker.com. Previously, Neubecker started and grew Forensicon.com into one of the premier computer forensics expert witness firms in the midwest before selling the firm to QDiscovery in 2016. A recognized expert in the computer forensics field, Neubecker’s firm was hired as an expert witness in an investigation culminating in one of the largest cyber-security-related verdicts awarded in Wisconsin, $147 Million. Neubecker assisted federal law enforcement authorities with analyzing video and social media content in an effort to help identify the Boston Marathon Bombing suspects.
Prior to founding Forensicon, Neubecker managed online communities for Lycos.com, where he led the company’s response to discovery requests from regulatory agencies including the SEC and federal law enforcement agencies. Neubecker is Vice President of the High Tech Crime Association Midwest (HTCIA) and a member of the U.S. Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and also is an active committee member of the Union League Club of Chicago. Neubecker serves as a commissioner for the River Forest Economic Development Council in his home community. Neubecker earned a B.A. in business finance, magna cum laude, from Eastern Michigan University in 2004, his M.B.A., magna cum laude, from Babson College in 1998. Neubecker enjoys technology and speaking to diverse audiences and is currently considering diverse opportunities in the field of Cyber Security.
